TOLENTINO AND VICINITY

In the city centre of Tolentino it is possible to visit the San Nicola Basilica church, entitled to the Saint who lived in the village around XIII century. In the same area, you can visit the International Museum of Humour in Art (MIUMOR), where caricatures of famous people, such as Pavarotti, are exhibited. With a unique ticket, it is possible to access the MIUMOR and Castello della Rancia, which hosts shows and concerts in the summer season.

Close to the Castello della Rancia, it is possible to visit the Abbey of Fiastra, realized in the XII century, comprising a church, a monastery and a natural park. Guided visits can be booked at the info point in the Abbey area.

A few km from the Abbey, a visit to the Roman archaelogical site area of Urb Salvia, in the Municipality of Urbisaglia, is absolutely worth. The site includes a roman cistern, a temple, a theatre and an amphitheatre.

SAN SEVERINO MARCHE AND VICINITY

The village of San Severino Marche is characterized by its oval-shaped square, Piazza del Popolo. Going up towards the older part of the town, it is possible to admire the Civic Clock Tower and the Duomo Vecchio church, and also to visit the Archaelogical Museum. Part of the area of the Municipality of San Severino is included in the Natural Park of Monte San Vicino e Monte Canfaito, where you can go trekking and mountain biking along the marked paths, including the one leading to the citadel named Elcito. Paths are also departing from Matelica, as described in this website page.

Please note that, as a consequence of earthquakes events in 2016, the Duomo Vecchio in San Severino is not accessible.

Close to San Severino Marche it is possible to reach the village of Cingoli, defined as the balcony of Le Marche, due to its particular position which allows to admire the hills of Le Marche and the Adriatic sea. In Cingoli there is also a well organized and funny Adventure Park, suitable for adults and children.
